Lufthansa Group and TPConnects Strengthen Decade-Long Strategic Partnership with Expanded NDC Commitment

Dubai, August 10 – Lufthansa Group and TPConnects today announced a significant expansion of their strategic partnership, building on a decade of collaboration that began in 2016. The strengthened collaboration underscores both companies’ long-term commitment to NDC innovation and positions the partnership for accelerated growth across global markets.

Since 2016, the partnership has evolved from initial collaboration to a comprehensive strategic alliance, with TPConnects playing an increasingly vital role in Lufthansa Group’s NDC distribution strategy. This renewed commitment ensures continued investment in technology advancement, market expansion, and distribution innovation through 2030 and beyond.

TPConnects has significantly grown its network of travel agency partners across diverse global markets, extending Lufthansa Group’s NDC content reach to travellers worldwide through an expanding distribution footprint.

Reinforcing this commitment, TPConnects has achieved Lufthansa Group NDC 24.1 Hybrid certification, enabling travel agencies connected to TPConnects to access the latest Lufthansa Group retailing and servicing workflows across all Lufthansa Group airlines, including Lufthansa, SWISS, Austrian Airlines, Brussels Airlines, ITA Airways, Eurowings, and Discover Airlines. The NDC 24.1 Hybrid upgrade delivers enhanced disruption management capabilities, integrated upsell functionality and greater servicing transparency for agencies using the TPConnects Iris platform.

The partnership has continuously evolved to meet the increasingly sophisticated needs of corporate travellers. TPConnects’ extensive corporate customer base has driven the development of industry-leading servicing capabilities – from complex booking modifications to comprehensive disruption management – all delivered seamlessly through the NDC channel.

Ten years of collaboration has created a mature framework for strategic cooperation, enabling both parties to align closely on product development, market initiatives, and technological innovation. This established relationship allows rapid response to market dynamics and evolving customer needs.

Heinrich Lange, Vice President Digital Retailing & Order Management at Lufthansa Group, said:

“Our partnership with TPConnects has been instrumental in our NDC journey since 2016. Over this decade, we’ve built a true strategic partnership based on shared vision and mutual commitment.
